  • WHO ARE WE?

  • We are Hope Harbour (Columbus Alliance for Battered Women, Inc.), a non profit group providing shelter and advocacy for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. We are a 39-bed residential facility.

  • WHAT ARE OUR SERVICES?
  • Shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence
  • Case management for women
  • Filing protective orders (TPO) and other legal advocacy services
  • Crisis Intervention counseling
  • Professional, free counseling for women and children in/out of shelter (group and individual)
  • TANF Assessment for victims of domestic violence
  • Material assistance and referrals for victims of domestic violence
  • Housing assistance
  • Educational assistance
  • All services are free.


WHAT DO WE DO?

  • We provide a caring, confidential atmosphere for women and children in order to help them work through their crisis and come to a quality decision for themselves and their families.
  • WHAT DON'T WE DO?
  • We do not house any homeless women and children, unless they are homeless due to domestic violence.

We don't attempt to replace the proper law enforcement agencies.

We don't house anyone who is medically or mentally unable to care for themselves.

  • WHAT CAN WE DO FOR THE COMMUNITY?

Domestic Violence Education to churches, businesses, schools, etc.

Individual and group counseling for victims

Provide speakers on related issues

Prevent current and future incidents of domestic violence

Statistical update: current number of volunteers, clients, and staff
