Teen Dating Violence is a growing issue. The Centers for Disease Control rank Georgia as number one in the nation in prevalence of teen dating violence.
Hope Harbour is committed to providing awareness and education about the dangers and signs of dating violence. This is an issue Hope Habour is focusing on for 2010.
Recently, agency advocates Nikki Waller and Candice Person were presenters at Teen Summit 2010: Focus on Health and Education, hosted by AKA Teen Enrichment Committee.
About 250 teenagers attended and were informed about important topics such as "What is DV and teen violence", "It’s okay to tell” and “Help is there if you need it.” Printed information was made available for teens and adults that attended the summit.
