BECOMING A VOLUNTEER
If you would like to join our volunteer team, please fill out an application (found below) and email it to our Programs Director, Jennifer Graessler, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our Programs Director will respond to you with further information.
Unfortunately, Hope Harbour is not able to accept volunteers less than 18 years of age to work in the shelter. There are ways for youth to support Hope Harbour. Please contact our Programs Director for more information.

SPECIAL EVENTS VOLUNTEER
Provides assistance with the planning and execution of special events such as decorating for holidays, helping to organize holiday parties at the shelter, and coordinating other events.
Assists in planning and/or implementing educational and recreational activities for children while their mothers are in group counseling sessions; may include playing games, arts and crafts, or assisting with homework.
Assists shelter advocate in various capacities to include: answering the 24 hour crisis line and completing the necessary documentation, assisting shelter staff with daily duties, and assisting residents with their daily needs.
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE VOLUNTEER
Assists with general shelter clerical duties such as filing, typing, and copying. Helps organize shelter administrative supplies. Assists with special events including fundraisers and seasonal events.
DONATION ORGANIZATION VOLUNTEER
Assists with the collection and/or organization of donations (food, clothes, toiletries, etc.) Maintains organization of the toy/craft closet, shelter clothing closet, and the Hope Harbour Boutique and Furnishing facility.
GIVERS OF HOPE
Spends positive time with the residents in an informal and enjoyable setting.
JOIN THE HOPE HARBOUR AUXILIARY
The Hope Harbour Auxiliary is committed to supporting the Alliance through assisting with fund raising activities, volunteering at the shelter, and being a positive presence in the community. The Auxiliary meets at noon on the third Wednesday of the month. Membership dues are $30 per year. To complete an application click here. Mail completed applications and membership dues to:
