How To Access

Three steps. One phone call starts everything.

Shelter intake always starts with a hotline call. We do not publish the shelter address. Calling first lets us confirm capacity, run safety screening, and arrange safe transportation.

1

Call the hotline

Dial (706) 324-3850. The hotline is answered 24 hours a day, every day. An advocate will pick up. You do not need to know exactly what you want before calling.

2

Intake conversation

The advocate will ask about your safety right now, where you are, and what kind of help would feel useful. If shelter is the right next step, they walk you through the intake process. Conversation is confidential.

3

Safe transport in

We coordinate transportation to the shelter. You do not need to find the shelter on your own. An advocate welcomes you in.

Bring whatever you can safely gather. Most important: identification documents (yours and your children's), any custody or immigration paperwork, medications and prescriptions, and a phone charger. Personal items like clothing, toiletries, school supplies for kids, and special comfort items are also useful. If you arrived with nothing, that is fine. The shelter has emergency supplies to meet your needs.
