Our Services

Seven services. One mission.

Every service Hope Harbour offers exists for victims and survivors of domestic violence. Each one is free, confidential, and built to meet people where they are. We do not sort by severity. We answer the call.

Our Mission

Hope Harbour provides emergency shelter, security, crisis intervention, and advocacy for adults and children who are victims and survivors of domestic violence in Muscogee, Harris, Chattahoochee, Marion, Taylor, and Talbot County in Georgia and Russell County in Alabama.

What We Do

Free, confidential, state certified.

1

Emergency Shelter

Our 43-bed facility is one of the largest DV shelters in Georgia, available to victims and survivors and their children any time. Address kept confidential. Hotel partnerships handle overflow when we're full.

2

Legal Advocacy

Help filing for protective orders, accompaniment in court, and coordination with prosecutors. Separate Alabama and Georgia divisions cover the legal landscape on both sides of the line.

3

Children's Program

Children who come through our doors get age-appropriate counseling, school-stability support, and a calm environment while their families rebuild. Safe space for the youngest victims.

4

Case Management

One advocate stays with each victim and survivor across services. From intake through stable housing, the same person knows your case, navigates systems for you, and answers when you call.

5

Support Groups

Confidential, peer-led groups where victims and survivors connect with others walking similar paths. Trauma-informed facilitators, structured curricula, and a circle of people who understand.

Education & Prevention

Trainings, awareness events, and prevention curricula for schools, faith communities, employers, and civic groups. Education breaks the cycle before it starts.

Frequently Asked

About all seven services.

DRAFT FAQ — pending approval from Lindsey + Monica. Drop pins on any answer that needs revision.
Do I have to stay in the shelter to use the other services?

No. Each Hope Harbour service stands alone. You can use the hotline without ever entering shelter. You can work with a legal advocate without using case management. You can attend a support group without using any other service.

Many people use one service at a time. Some use several. You decide what fits your life.

Are all services free?

Yes. Every service Hope Harbour provides is free. Shelter, hotline, legal advocacy, case management, support groups, outreach, children's programs, education and prevention trainings. All of it.

We do not charge sliding-scale fees. We do not bill insurance for these services. The work is funded by community support so victims and survivors do not pay.

Who is eligible for services?

Victims and survivors of domestic violence in our seven-county service area: Muscogee, Harris, Taylor, Talbot, Marion, Chattahoochee (Georgia) and Russell County (Alabama). Services are open regardless of income, immigration status, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other factor.

Children of victims and survivors are also eligible. Our Children's Program is specifically designed for the youngest people affected by domestic violence in the home.

How long can I stay in the shelter?

Every shelter stay is different. It is based on a case-by-case basis.

What if I do not live in your service area?

If you are outside our seven-county service area, call the hotline anyway: (706) 324-3850. An advocate can help you locate the DV agency that serves your area and warm-hand you to them.

For the national DV hotline that covers everywhere in the United States: 1-800-799-7233.

What languages do you serve?

Hope Harbour offers services in English and Spanish. For other languages we use language line services to facilitate communication. Tell the advocate what language you prefer when you call and they will arrange interpretation.

First Step

One phone call starts everything.

You do not need to know which service fits. Call the hotline and an advocate will help you figure out what comes next.
