Hope Harbour is one of the largest domestic violence shelters in Georgia and the only state certified agency serving victims and survivors across seven counties in Georgia and Alabama. Hope Harbour has stood with victims and survivors of domestic violence since 1979. Our 43-bed emergency shelter in Columbus, Georgia stays consistently full because the need is real and the demand is constant.
We are the only state certified domestic violence agency in the Chattahoochee Valley, which means we can serve victims and survivors in six Georgia counties (Muscogee, Harris, Taylor, Talbot, Marion, Chattahoochee) and Russell County, Alabama. When someone in our region needs help, distance and state lines do not stop the work.
Every service we provide is free and confidential. The shelter, the 24-hour hotline, legal advocacy, counseling, and case management: all of it. Ninety cents of every dollar goes directly to the victims and survivors we serve.
